The Eucharist at Agape
Confession of Faith
(Read in unison with ~ = pause)
We believe there is one God, ~ the Father Almighty ~ creator of Heaven and Earth~
We believe Jesus Christ is Lord, ~ The Only Begotten Son of God, ~ eternally begotten of the Father. ~ Light from Light, ~ true God from true God. ~ Begotten, not made. ~ Of one essence with the Father ~ through Whom all things were made. ~
We believe He came down from Heaven ~ He was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, ~ and became man. ~ We believe He was crucified for our redemption, ~ He suffered, died, and was buried. ~
On the third day He rose again ~ according to the Scriptures. ~ After appearing to the disciples for many days, ~ He ascended into heaven. ~ He is now seated at the right hand of the Father. ~
We believe in the Holy Spirit, ~ the Lord, ~ the Creator of life ~ Who with the Father and the Son ~ is worshiped and glorified. ~
We believe in one global and apostolic Church ~ as both the local expression ~ and the whole body of Christ, ~ with Jesus as the head. ~
We believe in one baptism ~ as each believer’s proclamation of this faith ~ for the forgiveness of sins.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead ~ and the coming return of Jesus in glory. ~ He will judge the living and the dead ~ and His Kingdom will have no end. ~ Amen
Confession of Sin
(Read in unison with ~ = pause)
Most merciful God, ~ we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, ~ by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. ~
We have not loved you with our whole heart; ~ we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. ~ We justly deserve your present and eternal punishment. ~ We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. ~
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, ~ have mercy on us and forgive us; ~ renew us and lead us so that we may delight in your will, ~ and walk in your ways, ~ to the glory of your Holy Name. ~ Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name ~ thy kingdom come ~ thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven ~ Give us this day our daily bread ~
And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us ~ And lead us not into temptation ~ but deliver us from the evil one ~ For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory ~ for ever and ever. Amen.
